Domain Name Registration

flymedia - don't get caught in the web - fly09
Any available domain name can be registered for you, by us. This process can seem a little daunting to the uninitiated so we can help with aspects that you may never have considered. All suffixes can be sourced (A domain name suffix is the bit at the end of the domain name) but usually or .com are chosen.

registration or renewal:
£10.00 per year.
See bottom of the page for .uk Nominet terms. / .net / .org
registration or renewal:
£20.00 per year (The registration can be for up to 10 years). / .net / .org £80.00 for a 5 year registration.

We can register and hold your domain name until such time as you are ready to develop your website. We can then create a webspace package to perfectly suit your needs. Web space, email accounts, webmail & statistics. Click here to see some options.

All Domain names are set to automatically renew (unless otherwise indicated by the client).
You will be invoiced for the domain name renewal. This must be paid if the domain name has been renewed. To change the renew status of a domain name you must inform me of your decision 35 days before renewal, this allows us time to stop the auto renew process.
Some clients buy a domain name and do nothing with it until they are ready. Others would like a basic web presence from day one, we can build a holding page for this purpose. This will allow potential clients to be able to see your contact details and basic information, plus will also allow google to know you exist. Web hosting is needed for a holding page, and options can be seen by clicking here.

Finding an available (& good) domain name can be tricky, they all seem to have been registered. If you have an idea for a name and it's not available, let us know and we can come up with some ideas you might not have thought of.

If your desired domain name is registered, you may think that waiting for it expire is a good idea. It is not.
  1. It might get renewed by the current owner
  2. You might not get there first, and someone else may buy it
  3. You can't precisely tell when a domain will become available
Our advice is to not bother.
